Peter Miller Regional Secretary

Peter has been a Firefighter in Berkshire for over 30 years. He was elected Branch Representative, Chair & Secretary, Brigade Chair and Brigade Secretary. In 1986 Peter was elected as Regional Treasurer, then Regional Chair, accepted an invitation by the Executive Council as acting EC Member, in 2004 and was elected to his current position as Regional Secretary.

Peter has represented members in different and varied spheres and there few issues he has not undertaken on behalf of members. Peter is the lead regional official on pensions for example. Peter has always represented members to the best of his considerable ability.

Wish for the future: Informed and educated FBU membership on fire service, trade union and political issues to enlighten and broaden the knowledge of members. Peter believes we are only guardians of the FBU and the service and we have to hand it over to others in an improved state from the one we inherited.

Interests; walking, reading, politics, football and is a season ticket holder at Chelsea.

Peter believes two important things are relevant to all members:
